The 9196 Postman is one of the most elegant and comfortable shoes of the Red Wing Heritage collection. After years of absence, we are delighted to welcome this very special and historic style back to our shelves. The classic look of the 9196 Postman comes from the design of the 101 Postman, which was developed by Red Wing Shoes back in 1954 to give postal workers the best possible comfort and protection in their everyday work without sacrificing a certain degree of elegance. Four years later, in 1958, the 9196 followed as the so-called “Policeman”. As the name suggests, this model was primarily developed as a uniform shoe for police officers. Just like the original version, the 9196 can be polished up nicely for special occasions thanks to the dry Black Chaparall leather. However, it is still robust enough to withstand adverse conditions and weather. With the aforementioned high-quality Black Chaparall leather and a completely black design, this shoe has a classic, clean look. The proven black Cushion Crepe sole provides the necessary comfort and also insulates in colder temperatures, making the 9196 a boot for all seasons.

This style is also available in a flatter Oxford version with style no. 101 Postman.
